ENGIE has a robust local engagement strategy and is firmly committed to creating jobs for local people and
engaging with Indigenous and local suppliers. 

A number of skills and suppliers will be required by our main contractor during the construction phase of the project and we encourage local suppliers, businesses and job seekers to register their details if you would like to be included in opportunities to supply goods and services for consideration by our head contractors.

Indigenous supplier - Any business in which a person or persons of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent has ownership of at least 50 per cent of the business, and is registered or certified with Supply Nation or NSW Indigenous Chamber of Commerce (NSWICC). A Local Indigenous Business is an enterprise located within the community footprint.

Local business / supplier - A supplier of goods or services that maintains a workforce whose usual place of residency is within a 125km radius of where the good or service is supplied.

Regional supplier - A supplier of goods or services that maintains a workforce whose place of residency is outside the 125km radius of where the good or service is supplied yet within the state.
