What is Carbon Neutral Energy?

ENGIE offers carbon neutral energy plan options, which means we offset the emissions from the energy you use. Certificates are sourced from activities that meet standards set by Climate Active.

How does offsetting work?

Offsetting your energy is not an add-on. For every tonne of emissions you make, we purchase one tonne of emission offsets. These are in the form of certificates from projects that absorb or ease the production of CO2. We source the certificates from activities that meet standards set by Climate Active.

Our energy plans are certified by Climate Active

ENGIE offers carbon neutral energy plans certified by Climate Active.  This certification means that by signing up for one of our new plans, well offset the carbon emissions generated from your energy usage.

Climate Active was established as a partnership between the Australian government and businesses to drive voluntary climate action.

Use our Carbon Calculator to estimate your carbon footprint

Our carbon calculator empowers you to do your part to lower your carbon footprint by identifying how your household, lifestyle and travel habits contribute to your emissions. By answering a few questions, we can estimate your carbon footprint and provide you with tips to help you reduce your emissions.

Zero is everything™
