ENGIE is investing in new energy for a brighter future

ENGIE has a global vision of a future powered by renewable energy.

We currently operate two wind farms in South Australia and have plans to develop three major solar farms across Queensland and New South Wales.

Development of the Silverleaf Solar Farm is currently under way. It’s located about five kilometres north west of Narrabri on roughly 330 hectares across two private rural properties.

Once operational, the farm will have a capacity of 120 megawatts and will use solar photovoltaic panels to generate electricity. The project also includes a step-up substation, site office and storage area.

We’re currently seeking environmental approvals, including preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to support a development application. The EIS is an assessment of key issues related to the site and the project.

As the project is a State Significant Development, the consent authority is the NSW Minister for Planning and Environment.
