Diversity and Inclusion

Energising our people

We offer careers that empower talented individuals to work in dynamic teams across many fields. At every stage of your career journey, we offer opportunities for you to expand your skills and talents to make a difference and make the world a better place.

We invest in our future by investing in our people. Our Learning and Development Framework provides training, resources and a global network of imaginative builders to support your ongoing growth and development, wherever you are in your career journey.

Women in Leadership

Our Women in Leadership program is designed to support women to develop and enhance their leadership capabilities and accelerate the career progression of women in the energy industry.

Employer of Choice

ENGIE has been recognised as a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation, recognising our ongoing commitment to gender equity in our workplace.

The citation is an exciting milestone in our journey towards gender diversity, particularly amongst our leadership group, and we hope being a part of the cohort sends a message to our existing and potential team members that we are actively committed to meaningful progress.

The ENGIE ANZ Rainbow Collective

The ENGIE ANZ Rainbow Collective is our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Gender Diverse and Queer (LGBTIQA+) network that welcomes all levels of participation from our ENGIE LGBTIQA+ community and allies.

The network is committed to creating a respectful, safe and supportive environment through education, advocacy and social networking for our LGBTIQA+ community and allies.

Pride in Diversity Members

ENGIE is a member of Pride in Diversity, a national not-for-profit employer support program for LGBTIQA+ workplace inclusion specialising in HR, organisational change and workplace diversity.

Reconciliation Action Plan

We are committed to a just, equitable and reconciled Australia and recognise that we all have a role to play in achieving this vision.

ENGIE developed a Innovate RAP in consultation with local First Nations communities, our team members, customers and stakeholders to provide tangible actions to achieve ENGIE’s commitments to reconciliation in Australia.

Key initiatives build on ENGIE’s existing First Nations partnerships and provide further opportunities to First Nations peoples and organisations that respect the communities and lands on which we operate.

The Innovate RAP is the second in the RAP Framework and is more ambitious in scope with a focus on employment, enhanced engagement across our projects, and piloting some new opportunities related to supply chain and involving our team members.

Proud member of Supply Nation

We recognise the important role businesses must play in building respectful relationships to provide opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Indigenous-owned businesses are traditionally under-represented, and by proactively building mutually beneficial partnerships, we’re contributing to lasting social and economic benefits.

Since 2009, Supply Nation has connected Indigenous businesses with the procurement departments of government agencies and corporate Australia.

They are a leader in the global supplier diversity movement that redirects procurement spend to traditionally under-represented businesses where it can create greater social good and give businesses a strong competitive advantage.

Through our membership, we’re able to direct our purchasing to Indigenous-owned and operated businesses, providing positive social and economic benefits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their families and communities.

Proud members

ENGIE is a proud member of Pride in Diversity Australia, Diversity Council Australia and Supply Nation, supporting Indigenous Procurement.
