About ENGIE

Leading the revolution in energy and services

ENGIE is building better lives by energising people and communities. At ENGIE, our mission is to lead the zero-carbon transition. This is supported by our key behaviours: being demanding, open, caring and bold.

Using globally leading technologies, we create innovative energy and smart solutions that enhance the performance of home, business, and community, and make the world a better place. We act throughout the value chain: strategy, design, engineering, energy-efficient asset construction, digital platforms, operations management, financing syndication and outcome assurance.

At ENGIE, we have been driving innovation for more than 180 years. Today, we are changing the face of energy and services in Australia and New Zealand by creating and developing a diverse range of energy and multi-technical services solutions, backed with global expertise and locally focused customer service.

We own and operate about 1,000 MW (gross) of renewable (wind turbine) and gas-fired generating plants in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, with many more renewable projects in the development pipeline. Our retail business, Simply Energy, serves markets in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory and Queensland.

We’re committed to safeguarding the welfare of the environment. In Australia and the Asia Pacific region, we’ve closed or divested all emission intensive power generation facilities. Decarbonisation of our generation infrastructure is a major goal for ENGIE around the world.

We’re proud to be setting the standard in Australia and New Zealand in lower carbon energy generation, renewables, energy efficiency and technology-based solutions. And we’re not done yet – watch this space to see how we continue to lead the energy revolution.
